Community State Bank announces promotions, new arrivals

Christian Lucander Christian Lucander ST CHARLES – Community State Bank recently welcomed Christer D. Lucander, Adrienne A. Hanson and Michael K. Olgaard to the bank and announced the promotions of Christian M. Durbin and Tanya E. Lockrey.

Christer D. Lucander joined Community State Bank in December 2013 as senior vice president and chief lending officer. He is responsible for generating quality loans by leading and directing a team of commercial lenders and branch managers. He is also responsible for credit administration, maintaining high levels of portfolio quality, and directing loss mitigation, collections, and workouts of any challenged credit relationships.

Adrienne Hanson Adrienne Hanson Lucander has over 25 years of broad background in commercial banking in both large bank and community bank settings consisting of positions in private banking, small business, middle market, large corporate, workouts, system conversions and loan review. He has additional private sector experience as a chief financial officer in the automotive field and various broad-based consulting roles.

Lucander has a bachelor of science degree from Tufts University in Medford, Mass., and a master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a concentration in Finance.

Christian Durbin Christian Durbin Adrienne A. Hanson joined Community State Bank in December 2013 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. She is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation by meeting all reporting requirements set forth by regulatory and advisory agencies. Hanson also oversees the bank’s strategic plan, and the Operations Department including Technology and Bookkeeping. She manages the bank’s liquidity level and asset liability management, coordinates audits, exams and financial statement preparation, develops and implements policies and procedures and develops and monitors the annual budget.

Hanson has over 20 years of banking experience with large and small financial institutions throughout Michigan where she has held positions as vice president, chief accounting officer and chief financial officer. She holds a bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan-Flint.

Michael Olgaard Michael Olgaard Christian M. Durbin was promoted to vice president, compliance and bank secrecy officer in December 2013. His responsibilities include analyzing new and upcoming regulations, updating existing policies to comply with new regulations and creating new policies as required, ensuring compliance with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations and reporting the status of the Compliance Management System and BSA Program to the board of directors.

With over 11 years of experience in financial services and small business, Durbin last held the position of vice president of Auditing, Compliance and Finance prior to joining the Bank. He has a bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Michigan-Flint.

Tanya Lockery Tanya Lockery Michael K. Olgaard joined Community State Bank in February as Vice president, commercial loan officer. He is responsible for prospecting, managing commercial loan relationships and cross selling all bank services. Olgaard has over 27 years of banking experience in commercial lending, private banking, and branch sales management at large, regional and community financial institutions.

Olgaard has a bachelor of arts degree in Marketing from Michigan State University, East Lansing, and a master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance from Saginaw Valley State University, University Center.

Tanya E. Lockrey was promoted to Human Resources Officer in December 2013. She began her career with Community State Bank in 1996 as a personnel secretary and was promoted to administrative assistant, Human Resources in 2001. Lockrey has over 18 years of experience working throughout the different areas in the Human Resources Department.

In her new role, Lockrey is responsible for the hiring process, employee and manager relations, benefits and payroll administrator, employment and labor law compliance and developing an employee recognition program. In 2011, Lockrey received the prestigious Employee of the Year award at the Bank. She earned both her bachelor’s and associate degrees in Business Administration from Baker College and earned her certificate from Dale Carnegie in 2013.
