Rep. Kelly plans office hours in Birch Run, St. Charles

Saginaw County residents can visit with State Rep. Tim Kelly on Monday, April 28 in Birch Run and St. Charles to discuss any state or local issue.

Kelly’s office hours for people living in the 94th House District are from 10 to 11 a.m. at the St. Charles Library, 104 W Spruce St.; and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Birch Run Chamber of Commerce, 7971 Main St., Birch Run.

“My regular office hours are an opportunity for people to visit with me one-on-one and get their voices heard on any state issue,” said Kelly, R-Saginaw Township. “Residents don’t have to call for an appointment; just stop by at any time during my office hours.”

Kelly plans office hours throughout the 94th District. Residents who are unable to make the office hours and would like to talk with Kelly should contact his office at (517) 373-0837; or send an e-mail to timkelly@house.mi.gov.

Sen. Kahn announces April office hours locally

State Sen. Roger Kahn (R-Saginaw Twp.), has announced that in-district office hours will be held on Tuesday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to noon at Sen. Kahn’s District Office, Suite 101 Lower Level, 5140 State St., Saginaw.

Members of the 32nd District lawmaker’s staff will be available during the office hours. Deputy Chief of Staff Bill Adams, along with a district liaison, will provide constituents with an opportunity to meet and discuss concerns.

Township View Second Anniversary “cupcake contest” winners announced

Two Township View readers are the lucky winners of the newspaper’s recent Second Anniversary “cupcake” contest and drawing. Each winner received a $100 gift certificate to the advertiser of their choice in the March 13 issue.

The two readers found the correct number of “Anniversary Cupcakes” hidden throughout advertisements in the anniversary issue. Their entry forms were randomly drawn from all of the correct responses. The correct answer was 14.

Winners were Melissa Greenwood and Alice J. Stuller. They both chose to receive gift certificates to Jack’s Fruit & Meat Market.

One more chance to win a new Chevrolet Sonic LS

Saginaw – In conjunction with its major sponsorship of the Continental Indoor Football League’s local team, The Saginaw Sting, Draper Automotive will give four people the chance to win a new 2014 Chevrolet Sonic LS during halftime at the last regular season Sting home game this Saturday, April 26.

But they need one more contestant. Register at the Draper Auto table at the tailgate party at the Dow Event Center, beginning at 6 p.m. One name will be drawn before the game and at half time that person will join the three other contestants to try to win the car. It’s not a lease – the winner gets to keep it.
