Local worship band releases its first full-length album

SAGINAW – Modern Day Cure, a Contemporary Christian worship band from Saginaw, has released its first fulllength album Victorious. The album is available for purchase on ITunes and on the band’s website at www.moderndaycure. The band’s founding members, Aaron and Tamar Chipp, along with Tifani Hall of Saginaw, released the album independently with the help of Bay City’s Andy Reed of Reed Recording Company.

“It’s always a great experience when working with a band or artist that puts their heart and soul into their music. Modern Day Cure has done that on this album,” said Reed, who co-produced Victorious. “I think that people will really embrace it. I believe that Modern Day Cure will be a musical force for years to come.”

With themes of victory and strength found throughout the album, the band hopes its faith-filled message will resonate with listeners.

“Both individually and as a group we’ve had to overcome fear, rejection, and uncertainty, just to name few,” said Aaron Chipp, band leader and drummer. “Regardless of what we’ve faced, God has been with us every step of the way. We want people to know that through Christ they can overcome.”

Songs like Strong God, Mighty One, and Victorious speak of the strength of God and the victory Christians have in the blood of Jesus, said Chipp, the primary songwriter on the album. “These songs have been the soundtracks to our lives over the past couple of years. They have strengthened and inspired us to continue following our passion to connect people to Christ through music.”

Alongside the album, the band started a Victorious campaign that highlights stories of local people who have overcome various challenges. Saginaw’s Brian Pruitt is included in the first set of videos featured on the band’s website (www.moderndaycure.com/media) discussing fatherlessness and how he defeated generations of abuse and become a father of four. Other stories offer hope despite divorce, addictions and depression. Modern Day Cure hopes to add more stories to the campaign by inviting the community to share their stories of victory on the band’s Facebook page.
