Nouvel Catholic Central recognized its graduating athletes who have signed to play sports in college on May 16. Lauren Champney will be playing soccer at Aquinas College. McKenzie Domine will play basketball at Albion. Allie Buckingham will play volleyball for Alma. Charley Hengsbach will play basketball at Alma. Christian Haraga will play basketball at Alma. Alex Dwan will play baseball at Alma. Matt Bartels will run cross country and track for St. John’s University in Minnesota. Robi Stuart will play football for Central Michigan University. Tyler Sprague will play football at Hope College.

Heritage baseball improves to 21-4

The Heritage baseball team moved its record to 21-4 after taking two games from Arthur Hill on May 18. The Hawks won both games in the doubleheader, 18-0 and 16-0. Heritage swept Flint Powers on May 17, winning the first game 14-2 and the second 8-1.

Heritage golfers third at John Glenn Invite

Saginaw Heritage placed third at the Bay City John Glenn Invitational held at Bay Valley on May 22. The team posted a 355, with Jordan Mackie shooting an 84, Wynn Wasmer an 89, Chris Cornford a 90 and Collin Addicott a 92.

Nouvel sackers go 1-3

The Nouvel Catholic Central baseball team lost to Farwell 3-2 on Saturday, May 20, but came back to defeat Bath 14-2. The Panthers lost to Garber 17-7 on May 19.
