WNEM After Hours lecture series opens Sept. 7

The WNEM After Hours: Where We Live lecture series will kick off on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Saginaw Art Museum, 1126 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw.

Andrew Rieder will give the first lecture in the eight-part series based on his mural entitled “Where We Live.” The mural was created by Rieder, with help from Tom Osborne and Michelle McLean.

The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.

Pages of History Book Club meets Sept 19

The Pages of History Book Club will meet at noon at the Castle Museum of Saginaw History on Tuesday, Sept. 19. September’s discussion will center on the book “Sin City North: Sex, Drugs, and Citizenship in the Detroit-Windsor Bordland” by Holly M. Karibo. Discussions are led by Leo LeFevre of Hoty Library.
