The Panthers split the singles matches going 2-2. Connor Nowosatka won in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Brady Collins took his match in three sets, dropping the first set 4-6, but then winning the next two 6-4, 6-3.

John Glenn took all three doubles matches from the Panthers.

Nouvel coach Scott Symons said this year’s team is young, with only three returning from last year’s squad.

Coach Symons said the team is learning, but has some skilled players, and he is looking forward to how the team improves while gaining experience as the season goes on.

The Panthers beat Durand in their first action of the year, 3-2 at the Hemlock Quad match on Aug. 26, and lost to Hemlock, 8-3. Nouvel then lost to Hemlock again on Aug. 31, 4-2. Connor Nowosatka has remained undefeated for Nouvel, not dropping a set in all his matches.
