Saginaw County Right to Life hosts Celebrate Life dinner

By Cameron Kerkau

Saginaw County Right to Life is hosting a Celebrate Life dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 17. This year, the annual dinner will be held at Horizons Conference Center, located at 6200 State St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner begins at 6 p.m.

“We are involved with educating the community on the benefits of life that we all enjoy,” said Dave Suave, president of Saginaw County Right to Life.

Guest speaker Sue Thayer will be delivering a speech during the dinner. Thayer had been a center manager of a Planned Parenthood location in Iowa for 18 years before she was informed she would be trained to perform webcam abortions, a program in which doctors interview women over video conference and remotely prescribe them pills for abortion.

“Most of these women would essentially be having their abortion at home which is a very traumatic event,” said Suave.

Thayer has since founded the Cornerstone for Life Pregnancy Resource Center in Storm Lake, Iowa, whose stated value is to “affirm the value of all life by providing a network of Christian care.”

According to Suave, the registration deadline for the dinner was Oct. 9 but late seating can be arraigned by calling (989) 799 4464.
