The Thomas Township Public Safety Building, 8215 Shields Dr., was packed with children and their parents waiting in line to see Santa and enjoying their first presents of the season.

“So far this is a record high year by the looks of it,” said Lynn McCoy, president of the Thomas Township Business Association. The TTBA has been hosting the free Christmas Party for 19 years.

“The kids love seeing Santa, and having Santa bring Mrs. Claus this year was a special touch,” said McCoy.

Kids snacked on cookies, popcorn and punch while visiting Santa or participating in the coloring contest.

“Seeing the kids’ reaction as they sit on Santa’s lap and seeing how happy they are to give him their list. That’s my favorite part of this,” said McCoy.
