STBA business community celebration May 15

The fifth annual Saginaw Township Business Association Business Community Celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at McDonald Auto Group, 5155 State St., Saginaw.

This free after-hours event is open to all area businesses.

CFCU to host violence response seminar

Catholic Federal Credit Union is hosting a Responding to Acts of Violence TAT seminar on Tuesday. June 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the credit union’s 6180 State St. office.

Henry Reyna, of Secure Solution LLC, will present the proper response to an act of violence. He will go over practical – yet powerful – tools and techniques to help attendees safeguard what matters most.

TAT programs are created for those ages 50 and over. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited, so call (989) 799-8744 ext. 111 to reserve a seat.

Wildlife Refuge to host field day June 30

The Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge will host its third annual free family Backyard Field Day on Saturday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Green Point Environmental Learning Center, 3010 Maple St., Saginaw.

There will be fishing, face painting, outdoor playground games, exhibits and more. The STEM Explorer Bus from Delta College will be on hand, as will History on the Move from the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History, and other partners.
