Writer addresses pothole repair

Dear Editor,

I want to address the way the state repairs the potholes on our roads.

There is no pride in workmanship. Just dump a piece and drive away. They don’t even get all the holes. My idea is when they dump tarvy in hole smooth it out then sprinkle sand on top. When cars run over patch the will pack the sand into the patch. It would be same color as concrete and sealed by sand. Patch will last longer and our roads won’t look so bad. It works. I have done it in my own driveway.
