Friday Night Live kicks-off July 13

Friday Night Live will once again take place in Morley Plaza in downtown Saginaw. The free concert series will occur every Friday night from July 13 to Aug. 17, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

The series features free music, food vendors and children’s activities and is sponsored by Team One Credit Union and Covenant HealthCare with support from the Michigan Council for Arts and Culture Association.

July 13 will kick-off with Rockin’ on the Riverfront featuring Pauly and the Goodfellas and Earth Angels, sponsored by Garber Management Group and 104.5 FM WHEELZ.

July 20 will be Kickin’ Country featuring Natalie Stovall and opening acts Michele Spita, a Tribute to Linda Ronstadt and Alex Schofield, sponsored by The State Bank and WKCQ Radio.

A salute to veterans will be hosted as well, supported by the YMCA.

July 27 will be a Latin Fiesta featuring Tejano Sound Band and Estrella De Oro, sponsored by Delta College and WIOG 102.5 FM.

Aug. 3, is an Escape to Margaritaville Artists featuring Margaritaville and Momma Mokey and the Smoky Linx. This night is sponsored by St. Mary’s of Michigan and 97.3 Joe FM.

Aug. 10 will be A Legendary Night featuring tributes by the Beat Club (Beatles), Lavel Jackson (Stevie Wonder) and Bob Greif (Elvis), sponsored by Saginaw Valley State University and 7.90 AM WSGW.

The final night of the series will be Motown Musicfest on Friday, Aug. 17. Featuring the Motown band Horizon with an opening by Larry McCray. Sponsors are Wildfire Credit Union and WNEM TV 5.
